Light from darkness

Chiaroscuro Joven — literally "young chiaroscuro" — is the name I publish under when the writing isn't about work or products or companies. It's a place for the things that inspire me: paintings I can't stop looking at, books that rearrange something inside, films that teach you to see, ideas I'm still turning over.

The visual language here is borrowed from the Baroque masters who invented it — Caravaggio, Artemisia Gentileschi, Georges de La Tour. Light that doesn't flatter, light that reveals. Deep black ground, warm flesh, a candle flame carrying the whole composition.

New here, a new corner of the internet. If you landed here somehow: welcome. The gallery is still filling. The community space opens soon. The blog starts when it starts.
